May is full of events for Alexander Rybak. And then we are not only thinking about the Eurovision Song Contest.

Because from May 13th to 19th, the party days stand in line for the fiddler from Nesodden.
It all begins with the ESC-favorite's birthday on Wednesday, May 13th. Then Rybak turns 23 years old, but it is probably safe to assume that he will not celebrate too much on that day.
"Day of rest" on Friday
The following evening, May 14th, he will be in the fire in the semifinals of the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow. Even though all fans and bookmakers consider it sure that Rybak moves on to the final, he will hardly take any chances the night before the semifinals.

On the "day of rest" on May 15th, the Nesodden-guy can hopefully calm down towards the final, which will be held on the evening of the 16th. If there will be a victory there too, as the bookmakers believe, it will probably also be a day of huge celebrations.
National Day at the embassy
The next day comes the national day itself, which for Alexander's part will be celebrated at the Norwegian Embassy in Moscow. The protagonist himself admittedly wanted to celebrate in his home country, though.

- It's the only sad about it that I actually can't celebrate May 17th in Norway. I mean by that the girls in bunad, he says with a foxy smile.
But it will certainly be fun in Moscow too! At least if I win! , adds Alexander.

But the May 17th celebration and embassy visit are not the end of Alexander's party week. The following day, on May 18th, the artist's mother Natasha turns 50 years old.
The family and friends celebrated at a big party later this year, 14th June, where Alexander performed a special edition of "Fairytale" (also later on his tour on that summer with Thomas Stranghelle and Hanne Krogh, in this video in Kristiansand)

Or that is: should Alexander come away with the victory in Moscow, it will be even more celebrations when he returns to Norway and Nesodden...
And he did: So then another good reason for celebrating appeared: Alexander was greatly welcomed by his hometown's folk, when he arrived to Nesodden on he 18th May, also gets interviewed - you'll find the Nesodden part at the end of this video compilation made of several reports from celebration the victory both in Russia and Norway.
