The couple, who had been together for nearly four years, went seperate ways in October last year. This is what Julie Gaarud Holm, 24, tells us in an episode of Cathrine Montero's podcast "Invite to", which was released Wednesday.

Julie Holm is the ex-girlfriend of Norway's MGP star, Alexander Rybak. It is not necessarily rosy to be with a public person. She had several threats and people were really trying to ruin their relationship. Not only that, there was a lady who was observing Julie all the time. We get to know what it's like to be the "dame" of a celebrity, who Julie is behind Rybak's fiddle, why it ended and new civil status.
This summer, the media speculated on whether the break-up was a fact, but neither Rybak nor Holm wanted to comment on the case. Now Holm lifts the veil.
- We found out that we were better friends than a couple at the end there. We were very fond of each other and all that, but it is a bit demanding to have a boyfriend who is so much gone. We talk about 200 travel days a year. It's a little tough, she says in the podcast.
- You know very much about what was missing then. Finally, when you are more apart than together, it is natural that you slip a little apart, too, she says.

Tried to be friends
Holm says that the ex-couple has a relationship after the break, and traveled to New York, among other things, to celebrate New Year's Eve together.
Although the break-up happened a year ago, Holm has not wanted to comment on it publicly until now.
- I felt it was very unnatural to sit down to explain when journalists called and wondered why it ended. "This is none of your business", I felt.
I wasn't really used to the fact that when you go through a personal crisis, you have to share it with everyone, says Holm in the podcast.
The 24-year-old also reveals that she has gotten a new boyfriend after the breakup with Rybak.
TV 2 failed to make contact with both Julie Gaarud Holm and Alexander Rybak's management on Thursday.
