“Give Me Rain” is a song about fighting through the darkness, and I am overwhelmed by your response and associations with the song. For me personally it is about fighting through the pain during rehab and withdrawal from sleep aid. Headache, hallucinations, cold sweat and nightmares became my loyal friends every day. But on the darkest days it felt like knives through my stomach, as my brain and gut are strongly connected. " (Alexander)

“My Whole World” could have come from a Common Linnets album in terms of style and sound. It’s Rybak’s first real country track and discusses the heart-felt story of a break-up. Thematically, it follows on from Rybak’s earlier break-up songs, such as “I’m Still Here” and “Funny Little World”, with its strong focus on regretting the loss of a love interest. (Wiwibloggs)

My Whole World” is a song about going through life without the person who was your everything. I admire the people who can fight for love and for health at the same time. Because I couldn’t.
Last year I was driving through the United States alone, for the first time in years. Me and J loved traveling there together, and it was strange to visit familiar and new places without her by my side. It felt like I wasn’t even there.
