On the 1st of March 2017, Alexander Rybak gave a seminar for young string students who played together with him and the City Symphonic Orchestra at the final concert the following day in Gomel, Belarus.

On the first day of spring, Alexander Rybak organized a master class in Gomel for little violinists and cellists
The musician often holds such events in Europe, and this is a great opportunity for beginners to try their skills on the professional stage. By the way, anyone under the age of 14 who owns a violin or cello could take part in an impromptu rehearsal, and the next day at a concert of the famous artist - winner of the popular Eurovision Song Contest.
This wonderful master class was initiated by state City Orchestra of Gomel, and it became a unique event for the regional cultural center. Because the guys did not even dream about performing on the same stage with Alexander Rybak.
35 boys and girls from music schools in Gomel and the region came to meet with their beloved musician, even some of Kiev were among the participants.
The smallest participant in the master class is only four years old.
This wonderful master class was initiated by state City Orchestra of Gomel, and it became a unique event for the regional cultural center. Because the guys did not even dream about performing on the same stage with Alexander Rybak.

Alexander Rybak: "I played for the President of the United States, but participating at the anniversary celebration of Alexandra Pakhmutova meant more to me"
At the concert of Rybak were performed popular hits like “Kotik”, and "Fairytale" - the song that brought victory in the musical contest, and well-known classical pieces, Norwegian folk tunes, and "Old Maple" by Pakhmutova, sung with a special tenderness by the singer. And after each song - a frantic applause.
The Gomel Symphony Orchestra was on top: the magnificent work of professionals in their field. And creating of a magical atmosphere in the concert hall is entirely to thank to the orchestra.
While listening to popular hits and classical masterpieces, the audience of Gomel eagerly awaited the main point - when the children would accompany Alexander.
They were preparing for the performance all the day, even though not all kids knew Rybak’s work entirely, but the performance turned out to be touching and professional. And I thought: what a wonderful idea it was to invite a star to help the little stars to shine.
