IT'S TYPICALLY NORWEGIAN TO BE GOOD
The Norwegian singer and songwriter Petter «Katastrofe» Kristiansen invited Alexander Rybak to contribute to his new song, which was then released on December 6th 2015. Not only the text, but also this great music video shows Norwegians with lots of positivity and self irony as kind of a great country image presentation.
[...] Three days later he was in the studio and recorded the bugs. Awesome. It was and is very nice to work with Rybak. He is a good man! So good, so superstar and still 110% lungs and good person, Petter says praisingly ➡HERE
Excerpts from another interview made with the two after the song release also ➡on Spotify
Petter:
[...] Kriss and Smaaland ran the idea by me in the studio, and I immediately liked it. We went into the studio together, wrote and worked on the track. Then I think it was Kriss who said, – “This would be so cool with a proper violin. Should get Rybak to play.” Kriss called him and two or three days afterwards Rybak was in the studio and recorded the violin. Absolutely unbelievable! Digging Rybak!
Alexander:
[...] I like his style, or his lack of style if one may say so. He is 100% himself, and really has a flair for good party music and what the man in the street can identify with. I would actually compare the music with Knutsen & Ludvigsen, given that there are relevant and straightforward lyrics and melodies. [...]

When he sent me the song. I said “Sorry but it should have been a tone higher, then the violin would sound good, but I’m happy to be on another project later.” 20 minutes later I get a new, updated demo with a new key, and then I said yes right away. As I said, the boy is pro!
So it's clear both guys are just good because:
"It is typically Norwegian to be good" 😄👌
Petter is talking about how their collaboration came into being ➡in THIS Instagram post too (in Norwegian)
On the 2nd February 2019, the song was also performed in the season Nr. 8 of the TV-show on TV2 “Hver gang vi møtes”, where Alexander was a guest artist in Petter Katastrofe’ day and he featured in Elisabeth Andreassen's performance.
According to ➡THIS article, Katastrophe was inspired by Gro Harlem Brundtland's famous slogan "It is typically Norwegian to be good", even though he was only three years old when it was said in a New Year's speech in 1992. The former prime minister herself also appeared in the show surprisingly, at the end of Elisabeth's performance, as you can see in the video:
Lyrics in English
where you can also find them in other languages like German, French, Spanish or Greek
Typically Norwegian
We enjoy the summer even though the rain is pouring down
12 months of winter
I wouldn't want to be anywhere else
We have all we need
Yes, we'll stay here until we die
From East to West and North to South
Whole Norway sings
Ohhhhhhhhhh
It's typically Norwegian to be good
So typically Norwegian to be good
It's typically Norwegian to be good
Good, gooooood
It's typically Norwegian to be good
"It's typically Norwegian to be good"
No, we're going off track wherever it is possible!
Jodeleiho!
I think we surely want to take a drink
Jodeleiho!
Because there is nothing that beats
Jodeleiho!
Girls in bunad in the spring
That is better than Selena Gom, Selena Gom
Because real men want to have mutton, mutton
