As we know, already at the beginning of his musical career, in between all of his engagements, Alexander was wandering, while playing for food and lodging in some of the valleys and islands of Norway like Giske municipality.

HERE, you can read about that he was also traveling in Valdres area earlier.
But as far as I know, there was no article about that (re-)found yet.

So here it is - published on amta.no on the July 20th 2006

Now the guy from Nesodden, Alexander Rybak takes the country road. For a week, he will knock on people's door in the Valdres area.

The reason for choosing Valdres is that he has recently been there at the festival "Valdres Summer Symphony" and hopes people remember him from it.

Along the way he will knock on people's houses and ask for food and lodging. The talented violinist and artist, known among other things from "Idol" (Norwegian talent  contest - translator's note), will make music and maybe some work in exchange for shelter and food. The goal is to gather experiences and inspiration.

And this autumn, the versatile young man has great things ahead of him.

As the article says, Alexander participated at the "Valdres Sommersymfoni & Festival" in those times, so we have now learned that he was there even before the summers of 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013 as a student, teacher and performer, as we can read HERE and see photos of him.
